Need your help!

My dearest sisters,

There is a new mom who has joined this horrible journey that we all traveling.  She lost her son at 13 weeks, and she has been looking for someplace that does something like a "Certificate of Life" or anything that acknowledges her son's presence, even if the time was brief.

Have any of you found something like that?  If so, could you send me the information so I can get it to her?

Your help is always appreciated!

Much love to you all,
Danae

P.S.  Sorry I haven't been around much still...I've been on a huge reading kick, and we've been watching a TON of NCIS...I'm soooooo hooked!

Hi Danae,

The support group I belong to sends care packages and cerficates of life all over the world so I know that Cindy (one of founders) would be glad to do a cerificate for her and her little one.

Here is their website and if you want to to get a hold of someone to make things happen faster just let me know.

I looked at this website and I am going to order one for Brynn. We got a still birth certificate but it's really nothing special. :(

I love the idea of a Certificate of Life - I wish that sort of thing was more readily available to babyloss moms.

Thanks to car for posting the link!

Name and honor your unborn children

this is a catholic church in NYC. you can name your child and they will write it in their "book of life" that people come and pray by daily. we aren't practicing catholics anymore, but we found it v comforting. i hope this helps. also they send you a certificate.

Mine was actually mentioned by the hospital that I delivered at. They have a special group that does special things for those who lose babies.

This is a wonderful idea. We got a birth certificate because our sone was born alive and passed away 6 days later, with SIDS as the diagnosis. Unfortunately because they processed his death paperwork so close to his birth, our copy of his birth certificate has "DECEASED" stamped across it :(
